Moving the SQL 2005 System Tables
2 Questions Actually!
1. I know how to move all the system DB's in 2000, but I am a bit confused as to how to accomplish this in 2005. I need to move: Master Model MSDB I've already moved Temp. 2. Now, there is this other DB, called the resource DB, which they tell you not to rename or move. The confusing part is that at install, I did not have an option to specify where I wanted my log files to go, only my DB files. Did I miss something? > 1. I know how to move all the system DB's in 2000, but I am a bit confused The steps for moving all the system databases are in Books Online (December > as to how to accomplish this in 2005. 2005 version) in a topic titled 'Moving System Databases'.
