SQL 2000 and 2005 On Save Box
Are there any issues with 2000 and 2005 SQL on the same server? Have a
machine with both and the perception is that the server became unstable with the 2005 install, although I'm not convinced that if it is unstable the 2005 install caused it. Box has 4 Gig RAM. Hello Jeffery,
There should not be any problem running 2000 & 2005 SQL on same server. Cheers!! Show quoteHide quote "Jeffery Rehm" wrote: > Are there any issues with 2000 and 2005 SQL on the same server? The focus of this is upgrading, but with comments on side-by-side 2000 and 2005 instances in the topic "Upgrading to the SQL Server 2005 Database Engine" http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2005/sqlupgrd.mspx And from the MSDN blogs: http://blogs.msdn.com/sqlblog/archive/2006/09/27/co-existence-of-sql-2005-with-sql-2000.aspx FWIW, RLF Show quoteHide quote "Jeffery Rehm" <abs@spam.never> wrote in message news:uWi1B75WJHA.4560@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Thanks for the reply.
