Cumulative package 2 for SQL 2008
Did anyone download Cumulative package 2 for SQL 2008? How many files you see
after extracting the compressed file. Currently i only see two files--sqlncli.msi and hotfix.txt. It looks like MS missing the hotfix.exe in the package. Could someone confirm what i see? thanks dwu Looks like you downloaded (and/or only requested) the file with SNAC in the
name; this file is only for native client. Actually now that I look at the KB article it seems the CU2 package for the engine has been pulled. Let me see what I can find out... available again. Make sure you download the file labeled "SQL_Server_2008_Cumulative_Update_2" to patch your server(s), though it's not a bad idea to patch the clients as well (both for SNAC and potentially any updates to client tools like SSMS).
