SQL server as web hosting
Hi,
One of our SQL servers is also our extranet hosting. Is that why this server not joined to the network domain (so people can login from outside)? As far as I know, only our sales people who login to the extranet but they're all over the country. Will there be a problem if we join this server to our network domain? risk to be a victim of DOS (Denial Of Service). I would imagine that is the reason that is not a part of the domain, to protect the corporate network by isolating the web server. know if this will affect the performance of the web pages (besides the security point)? Do we need to modify any of the databases/server properties?
